ABOUT THIS PORTFOLIO COLLECTION: These are photographs and some retouched photos taken during the original filming of "Tora Tora Tora" in 1969 at Barbers Point Naval Air Station. These photos feature "mock" Japanese Vals, Zeros and Kates, as well as real vintage P-40's and B-17 bombers. The second group of photos were taken in 1995, mostly aboard The USS Carl Vinson, a Nimitz Class aircraft carrier, during the 25th Anniversary of VJ-Day, held in the waters in and around Oahu. These photos feature many authentic classic warbirds. |
